Then, you will travel to the famous Alameda de los Incas, where statues of all the Inca rulers stand, an ideal place for photographs. The next destination will be the forest of the toads with various stones in the shape of animals. Afterwards, lunch will be served at the El Aventurero recreational center overlooking the San Nicolas Lagoon. The visitor will be able to navigate in totora reed boats in this beautiful lagoon. The tour also includes a visit to a guitar and charango workshop. It offers an experience with many beautiful landscapes, history and the culture and tradition of the people of Cajamarca. This is an all inclusive service from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Itinerary

  • The tour starts with the pick up of the visitor from the door of his hotel in the city of Cajamarca at about 8.30 in the morning. The pick up will be accompanied by a professional tour guide.
  • After picking up the members of the tour begins the trip in tourist transport to the district of Namora on the outskirts of the city of Cajamarca (route of 29 kilometers by road).
  • Next, we will visit the Alameda de los Incas, a set of fiberglass statues with the figure of the fourteen Incas. There the visitor can learn more about the history of the empire that had in Cajamarca one of its most important citadels.
  • Then we will return to board the tourist transport for the trip to the Bosque de Piedras de Sapitos, a place where you can see volcanic rock formations formed by erosion thousands of years ago. The rocks have figures of animals, especially toads, which gives the site its name. In the place you can also find figures of guinea pigs, turtles and more.
  • The next tourist destination to visit is the Namora guitar and charango workshop. There the visitor will learn about the process of making these beautiful musical instruments. The artists will give us a musical show and we will have the opportunity to purchase a musical instrument.
  • Then we will start our trip to the San Nicolas Lagoon, one of the most famous in the region, with 2 kilometers long and 1.7 kilometers wide. There, in the recreational center El Aventurero, we will stop for a delicious lunch (service not included in the tour). The tourist will be able to choose from one of the traditional Peruvian dishes prepared with Cajamarca ingredients.
  • After lunch we will have the opportunity to take a ride on a totora reed boat on the lagoon waters. We will also be able to appreciate the flora and fauna in this small ecosystem. There the visitor will be able to take beautiful pictures of his visit in Cajamarca.
