The niches were made with a depth of up to 10 meters. The orifices, similar to windows, have quadrangular or rectangular shapes. Inside, the niches are connected forming a kind of passageway. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Peru, since they date back almost to the beginning of the 20th century (they are almost two thousand years old).
  • After visiting the famous windows of Otuzco, we continue our trip in tourist transport to the viewpoint of Las Campiñas. As its name suggests, from this high point you can see the green fields of Cajamarca where the villagers are mainly engaged in raising sheep to produce milk, cheese and yogurt of very good quality. In this viewpoint we will make a stop to get some of the most beautiful pictures on the trip.
