- Without availability to visit Machu Picchu? Take the 1-day tour to Machu Picchu and the Huchuy Picchu mountain, which does offer you ample availability to visit the Inca citadel. The Huchuy Picchu mountain offers a good panoramic view of the archaeological site. It does not allow the classic postcard photo but a similar beautiful view from the lower part of the citadel. - The tour begins with the pick up of the tourist from the door of his hotel between 4.40 and 5 in the morning. Next, the tourist will travel by tourist transport to the Wanchaq station. There begins the trip by Bimodal bus (1 hour 45 minutes) until arriving at the Ollantaytambo station. The train journey begins at this station for 1 hour 40 minutes to Aguas Calientes. Where is Machu Picchu? How to get?
Machu Picchu is located in the jungle part of the Cusco region. From the city of Cusco it is reached through a trip of almost 4 hours. The first section is by bus or minivan for 1 hour 40 minutes to the town of Ollantaytambo. There you board the tourist train that also in 1 hour 40 minutes will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town). Finally, in this town you take the tourist bus that in just 30 minutes will take you uphill to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu. The TOUR INCLUDES ALL THESE TRANSPORTS!
Itinerary
- The tour begins with the pick up of the tourist from the door of his hotel in the city of Cusco between 4:40 am and 5:00 am. The visitor will be taken to the Wanchaq station where they wait for the Bimodal tourist transport that will take them to the town of Ollantaytambo.
- The Bimodal tourist bus trip takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. The tourist will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley through the windows. In Ollantaytambo you will have free time to have breakfast (not included in the tour).
- From Ollantaytambo departs the Expedition tourist train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. The trip is comfortable, with large windows, comfortable seats, tables and service on board.
- At the Aguas Calientes train station, an attendant will lead you a few steps to the bus station. These transports are ecological and comfortable. In just 30 minutes it will take you to the entrance gate of Machupicchu.
- At the entrance gate of Machu Picchu the private tour guide will wait for the tourist. Together they will enter the Inca citadel. The tour takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. - In Aguas Calientes we will have free time to have lunch (not included) and get to know the town better.
